Norbert Grech has built a robust educational foundation across Malta and the UK, holding a Foundation Technical & Engineering Diploma, a Management Diploma from the University of Henley, Reading UK, and an MMBA in Understanding Petroleum Dynamics from EuroMoney London UK. His career reflects a wealth of experience in technical, engineering, operations, and management fields.
Beginning in 2000 at STMicroelectronics, a global leader in semiconductors, Norbert spent over a decade focusing on cutting-edge technologies, including exploration into hydrogen energy. In 2013, he transitioned to the public sector with the Government of Malta, contributing significantly to high-profile events such as CHOGM 2015, Valletta Summit 2015, and the Malta Maritime Summit (2016 & 2018), while also driving several key policy initiatives.
Among his recent professional achievements, Norbert led the establishment and development of the National Traffic Control Centre in 2017, contributing to legislative and methodological advancements in business development and budgeting. In 2022, he spearheaded the project management and coordination of the HVSC Project, which focused on the implementation of onshore power supply and the development of electricity infrastructure for cruise liners.
