As Senior Manager, Sustainability & ESG, Jes supports MSC Cruises’ ambition to grow sustainably by helping to accelerate the energy transition toward net-zero emissions by 2050.Jes began his career in environmental management in Southeast Asia and Africa before transitioning to aviation and joining the International Air Transport Association in Geneva, Switzerland.

During his time at IATA, he was closely involved in developing the world’s first sectoral global market-based measure to address carbon emissions and ultimately with the agreement to achieve net-zero emissions for aviation by 2050 at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) before joining MSC in 2022. Jes holds an MSc in Environmental Sciences from Utrecht University in the Netherlands.
