Having been elected to Parliament in 2022, Chris Bonett currently occupies the role of Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Public works after almost two years serving as Parliamentary Secretary for EU funds. In that period, he was responsible for the launch of the EU Funds Operational Programmes for the years 2021-2027.

Prior to his role in politics, he was a consultant to the parliamentary secretariat for Youth, Sports and Voluntary Organizations following a two-year stint at UEFA where he assumed the responsibility of Integrity Officer and was a member of the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Board. This reflects his expertise as a lawyer specializing in sporting matters
