Alex Montebello was appointed CEO of Malta Freeport Terminals in 2014. He started his career at Malta Freeport in 1989 at the time of the Company’s inception and has since then occupied various positions within the Company. In his early days as an IT Specialist, Alex was responsible for implementing the Terminal Operating Systems alongside the Company’s development and expansion.

 Following this, he was in charge of the Business Development of the Terminals and the negotiation with shipping lines resulting in Malta Freeport’s clients mix. Alex was then appointed Director responsible for the Operations of the Terminals. He has served as Board Member of the Malta Maritime Forum for many years and is today Vice Chairman of the Forum.
